Por avion: a) Aeropuerto Nacional Puerto Escondido Se encuentra a 90 km de Zipolite. b)Aeropuerto Internacional Bahías de Huatulco . Se encuentra a 40 km de Zipolite. Del aeropuerto se puede tomar un taxi que te lleve directamente a Zipolite. Otra opcion un poco mas barata es tomar un taxi colectivo del aeropuerto a la central de autobuses y de ahi tomar un autobus a San Pedro Pochutla, y despues tomar un colectivo a Zipolite.
By plane: a) Puerto Escondido National Airport, it's located at 90 km (56 miles) from Zipolite. The most recomended option is to b) Bahías de Huatulco International Airport; it's located at 40 km (25 miles) from Zipolite. From the airport you can take a taxi that takes you directly to Zipolite. Another cheaper option is to take a "colectivo" taxi from the airport to the central bus station and from there take a bus to San Pedro Pochutla, and after that take a "colectivo" to Zipolite.
Por tierra desde la ciudad de México puede tomar dos caminos: a) por la costa pasando por Acapulco, este camino es el menos recomendable por cuestion de seguridad y tiempo el cual se lleva aproximadamente 13 horas hasta Zipolite. b) por Oaxaca y la sierra madre occidental se pasa por San Jose del Pacífico en la sierra hasta llegar a San Pedro Pochutla, aproximadamente 10 horas de camino.
By land you can take two ways from Mexico City: a) by the coast passing thru Acapulco, this road is less recommended because of security reasons and time which takes approximately 13 hours to Zipolite. b) by Oaxaca and the Occidental Sierra Madre you pass by San Jose del Pacífico in the mountains until reaching San Pedro Pochutla, and it takes approximately 10 hours to reach Zipolite.
Una vez llegando a Zipolite, encontraras "El Sheik" justo entre la Playa Zipolite y la Playa del Amor. Si entra a Zipolite llegando de Puerto Angel, entonces, se tiene que dar vuelta a la izquierda en la primera calle de la Playa Zipolite (hay una tienda en la esquina). "El Sheik" se localiza encima de una colina al final de la Playa Zipolite, mirando al ESTE (el lado más cercano a Puerto Angel). Si vienen en taxi, solo tienen que decirles que van a la Playa del Amor. Tienen que subir unas escaleas aproximadamente 20 metros hasta llegar a la puerta en la cima de la colina.
Once arriving to Zipolite, you will find "El Sheik" just between Playa Zipolite and Playa del Amor. If you enter Zipolite arriving from Puerto Angel, then, you have to turn left in the first street of Playa Zipolite (there is a shop in the corner). "El Sheik" is located above a hill at the end of Playa Zipolite, looking EAST (the closest side to Puerto Angel). If you arrive in taxi, you just have to tell some local where Playa del Amor is located. You have to walk up the ladders approximately 20 meters until reaching a door on the top of the hill.
